Our children's services

Our approach

Paediatric physiotherapy should feel supportive, practical, and stress-free — for children and their families.

At Brave Kids Physio, we provide mobile paediatric physiotherapy that fits naturally into family life. We believe children learn and move best in environments that feel safe and familiar, which is why our children’s physiotherapy sessions take place in your child’s everyday spaces.

Brave Kids Physio focuses on:
•  Play-based paediatric physiotherapy, helping children feel comfortable and engaged
•  Individualised physiotherapy assessments, guided by evidence-based practice
•  Practical strategies for families, so progress continues between sessions

We offer mobile children’s physiotherapy in Canberra and North Brisbane, this means we come to you! Sessions are available in your home, daycare, school, sporting facilities, or at the local park. By delivering therapy in real-world settings, we help children practise skills where they matter most.

Our goal is to support meaningful movement development while reducing travel time and stress for families, making paediatric physiotherapy more accessible, effective, and family-centred.

How Brave Kids Physio was born

We’re Andrea & Isabelle, experienced paediatric physiotherapists and co-founders of Brave Kids Physio.

Friends first, then business partners, we started Brave Kids Physio out of a shared passion of helping children move and play with confidence. We saw a clear need, families wanted high-quality children’s physiotherapy at their home that fit seamlessly into real life.

Brave Kids Physio began in Canberra in 2020. Assessing and supporting children in their own environments made a real difference for families, and our trusted mobile physiotherapy service quickly grew.

In 2026, Andrea moved to Brisbane to launch our new branch, bringing the same family-centred physiotherapy to children across North Brisbane.

Today, we deliver fun, evidence-based paediatric physiotherapy focused on family education and meaningful progress. Our name reflects what we encourage in every child we work with; confidence, resilience, and a willingness to try. We encourage them to Be Brave.

Brave Kids Physio Katelyn

Howdy, I'm Katelyn

With extensive experience in paediatric occupational therapy, I’m passionate about supporting children in growing their skills, overcoming challenges and becoming their best and bravest little selves.
While I love working with kids of all ages, my special interest is early intervention, supporting children from infancy through to Prep, with all things OT including motor skill and cognitive development, play, sensory needs and mastering everyday activities.

As a mum myself, I understand how important it is for therapy to fit naturally into family life; this is why I’m passionate about taking a family centred approach, working alongside parents to make therapy practical, fun and meaningful for everyday life. I love helping families understand their child’s development and celebrating all the little steps along the way.

Book in with me if:
• You have concerns about your child’s development
• Your child needs support with mastering everyday tasks, including self-care skills like dressing.
• Your child has emotional regulation and/or sensory difficulties
• Your child needs support with play, or participation in typical childhood activities
• You’re looking to make sure your little one is ready for Prep

Our Paediatric Physio Andrea

Hi there, I'm Andi

I’m thrilled to be one of the co-owners and a dedicated physiotherapist at Brave Kids Physio!

My experience spans private practices in Canberra, Townsville, and Brisbane, where I’ve had the privilege of working with kiddos facing challenges related to developmental milestones, neurological conditions, sports injuries, and post-operative recoveries.

Thanks to my background in gymnastics, I love to discover the mysteries of movement, diving deep into muscle mechanics, and fine-tuning movements to help kids conquer challenges. My passion is ensuring that every child can achieve their full potential through children’s physiotherapy.

Outside of work, I’m all about staying active! I love exploring new areas, hiking, running, riding, and traveling, as well as cherishing moments with friends and family.

Book in with me if:
• Your baby or child needs a developmental boost (0-7 years old)
• Your baby has a flat head (plagiocephaly), neck tightness (torticollis), or concerns about foot positioning (positional talipes)
• Your child has leg alignment changes like flat feet or knock-knees (any age)
• Your child is experiencing injury or pain (any age)

Availability:
I currently see clients on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
